I am a senior and part of the Iota class. I have been in Phi Chi for 2 years, and this will be my last year, which is such a bittersweet feeling. One of my favorite memories so far in Phi Chi is Big Little Night. I loved getting to meet my littles and welcoming them into my lin, which is kind of like a small family within the larger Phi Chi family.
Evan Monge

Evan Monge is our Vice President. Evan is majoring in Biomolecular Science with a minor in Entrepreneurship. He is interested in a career in Orthopedic Surgery. Currently, he serves as a research assistant at Michigan Medicine department of General Surgery. He works in the subdivision of Colorectal surgery at the Center for Healthcare Outcomes and Policy (CHOP), evaluating surgical outcomes and trends to improve statewide surgical care with the Michigan Surgical Quality Collaborative (MSQC). Evan is currently applying for medical school and enjoys strength training and exercise, golfing, playing ice hockey, and hiking in his free time. This summer, Evan traveled to Denver, Colorado for a research conference and also enjoyed hiking at Colorado Springs!
Zan Mohsin

Zan Mohsin is the secretary of Phi Chi! Zan is majoring in Biology, health, and Spanish Language. Outside of Phi Chi, he works in the Goforth Lab, studying the role of orexin 1 receptors in food intake and metabolism. He also is the founder of the Parkinsons Pals organization at UofM, connecting Michigan students with people with Parkinson’s disease. In addition, he tutors for Bio 225 and is always eager to help students with physiology. Aside from professional life, Zan loves to spend time with friends and is always down for a sweet treat. This summer, Zan spent his time studying for the MCAT but also had some fun at the jersey shore!
Marissa Hamilton

Marissa Hamilton is the treasurer of Phi Chi! Marissa is majoring in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology. Currently, she serves as a research assistant in the Duan Lab, studying the Stc2a gene and its regulation in zebra fish. Marissa also participates in Sunny at UofM, and Parkinsons Pals. In her free time, Marissa enjoys exploring fun restaurants in Ann Arbor, catching up of TV shows, golfing, and playing soccer. This summer, Marissa spent her time studying for the MCAT and shadowing doctors in Florida!
Dev Patel

Dev Patel is the judge advocate of Phi Chi! Dev is majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Computer Science. He currently does research in the NeuRRo Lab, which analyzes gait movements with stroke patients. He also is a Biology 173 Lab UTA as well as a tutor for Biology 172 through HSSP. Dev is on the competitive Michigan Wolveraas dance team, which is a raas-garba team that competes nationally. In the future, he aspires to be a doctor, related to neuroscience and physical therapy. Outside of professional and academics, Dev loves to travel and explore. In fact, this summer, he studied abroad in Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden.
