Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible to rush?
Phi Chi is open to all majors and minors, though you must have the intention of obtaining an MD or a DO.
What does the rush process look like?
Our rush has two rounds. The first round consists of an informational session, a meet-and-greet, and an application to get to know who you are. The second round is invite only, and consists of an interview and our personal favorite event, Team Dynamics. Team Dynamics is our final rush event, where you’ll be assigned to a team and participate in several activities/games with our current members.
What does your themed rush mean?
What are the rush requirements?
You must be either a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 and a Math/Science GPA of 3.0. However, the average GPA of current Phi Chi members is a 3.70.
What is the time commitment?
You can expect approximately 4 hours per week during rush and 2 hours per week after rush. Phi Chi uses a points system, meaning members must reach a certain number of points to be considered an active member. Points are obtained by attending chapter and volunteer/professional events. This allows for flexibility in your schedule.

Can I rush more than once?
Yes! Sometimes all it takes is to try again.
